PAY RANGE: $ 20 per hour
FTE: Part time 20 hours per week.

The Maintenance section of the church is responsible for keeping the church facility, property and equipment resources operational, ready and clean. This department maintains necessary supplies, manages contracts and monitors usages of utilities and resources needed for continuous operations. The maintenance section is responsible for managing all church projects.
POSITION OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Lead Pastor, the Facility and Project Manager provides a positive professional “first impression” of Bend Church of the Nazarene through an immaculate facility, readiness and excellence in customer service. This position does not directly manage any other caregivers.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES:
Ensure vehicle maintenance on all church vehicles are up to date
Develop and coordinate a volunteer team for ongoing maintenance and special projects
Coordinate church workdays
Coordinate and manage the relationship with sub-contractors (cleaning, HVAC, lawn, etc)
Coordinate and keep up on maintenance of facility systems (HVAC, lighting, water, fire, etc)
Perform mid-week cleaning duties to keep our facility in top shape.
Coordinate and manage occasional deep cleaning (carpets, gym floors, etc)
Open and close facility on Sunday and as assigned.
Work with church to setup and cleanup church events.
Develop and coordinate a snow removal team (parking lot & walkways)
Keep up with weed and pest control
Attend weekly staff meeting
Keep a clean and organized workspaces
May perform additional duties of similar complexity within the organization, as required or assigned by the Lead Pastor.
Required: High school graduate or three years other training in related skills, or equivalent experience.
Preferred: Associates degree.
Required: Valid Oregon driver's license.
Preferred: Certification in facilities maintenance or related field.
Must be knowledgeable of safety related issues and requirements for facility maintenance.
Knowledge of current building methods and local codes.
Knowledge of state of the art equipment, tools and materials used for maintenance and repair of vehicles, buildings and grounds.
Computer knowledge and proficient with office programs.
Proficient use of technical maintenance equipment, technology and tools associated with the work of maintenance and repairs of a facility and associated equipment.
Skilled in risk management and strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Works well independently and is able to receive direction from multiple sources and prioritize workload.
Exhibits strong human relation skills to include the ability to work collaboratively and professionally.
Able to handle high stress and crisis situations calmly.
Able to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
Preferred: Prior facility management or building engineer experience.
PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT
Must be able to know, wear and use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required to perform the job safely.
Continually: Use of clear and audible speaking voice and the ability to hear normal speech level.
Frequently: Sitting, standing, walking, lifting 1-25 pounds, keyboard operation.
Occasionally: Bending, climbing stairs, reaching overhead, carrying/pushing or pulling 1-25 pounds, grasping/squeezing. Stooping/kneeling/crouching, lifting, carrying operation of a motor vehicle, climbing ladder/step-stool, ability to hear whispered speech level. ,
Infrequently: pushing or pulling 25-50 pounds, heat, cold, wet/slippery area, noise, dust, vibration, chemical solution, uneven surface.
