Ministry Assistant: Media Coordinator

Media Coordinators are communications professionals who develop and implement targeted communications and advertising content for a variety of media platforms. They research, write, proofread, and edit all content, and plan and execute all media and advertising campaigns. 

Job Description

Hubbard Church of the Nazarene is seeking a part-time Media Coordinator. This person will be responsible for Hubbard Nazarene’s online media presence including graphic design, video, photography, web design, social media, and presentation software. The Media Coordinator will report to the Senior Pastor.  


Graphic Design

  • Design Church Promotional material to be used online and in-house. 
  • Design Graphics for Events & Sermon Series.

Video Production

  • Film, Edit, and Post Announcement/Promo Videos.
  • Film and Edit Training/Instructional Videos.
  • Recruit team to film special events & on-site videos.
  • Create Sermon Bumper Videos.
  • Oversee YouTube streaming of weekly services.
  • Film, Edit, Post, and make DVDs of special events when streaming is not possible.


  • Oversee the routine creation and usage of photography.
  • Recruit photography team for special events.

Church Website 

  • Assistance will be given in creating the new website.
  • Keep information current with ministry updates and events.
  • Perform Periodic Design & Layout Changes.

Social Media 

  • Craft thoughtful & engaging posts to Church Facebook.
  • Utilize photos and videos, convey information, and engage followers.
  • Creative effective social media advertisements.

Presentation Software & Troubleshooting

  • Create presentation content for Worship Services.
  • Train volunteers on software.
  • Troubleshoot any media or display issues.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ; must be in alignment with Nazarene doctrine.
  • Member of Hubbard Church of the Nazarene or become a member upon employment.
  • Teachability, flexibility, willingness to receive creative input & direction, and to submit to authority.
  • Ability to effectively lead, train, and manage volunteers.
  • Problem solving ability.
  • Ability to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to keep up with design, web, and social media trends.
  • Proficient in Presenting Software, Photo/Video Editing Software, Streaming Software, & Camera Use.

Hours & Availability

  • 15-20 hours per week at $15/hour.
  • Minimum of one day in the church office; may work remotely for the remainder of the week.
  • Attendance and involvement during Sunday Worship Services and Special Events.
