Senior/Lead Pastor

This is an opening for the position of Senior/Lead Pastor at the Church of the Nazarene in Placerville, CA. The church was officially organized in 1925 and is located in a rural/foothill community east of Sacramento, the state capital. Qualifications for this position include:

1. Active membership in good standing in the Church of the Nazarene.
2. Officially credentialed for ministry in the Church of the Nazarene.
3. An enthusiastic and inspiring call to preach the Word of God and lead people into a dynamic,    growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
4. Significant pastoral leadership ability to administer the polity of the Church of the Nazarene.
5. The ability to serve with passion alongside all local church ministries.
6. The ability to extensively lead the church through outreach into the local community.
7. The willingness to serve with and develop an associate ministry staff.
8. The ability to be effectively organized in all areas of ministry and leadership.
 

This position includes a full-time compensation/employment agreement which will be disclosed to individuals who are approved for an official interview with the District Superintendent and Church Board. The process of selection of a new Senior/Lead Pastor is now open in light of the current Senior/Lead Pastor's retirement in 2021.
