*Full time position*

 

Job description: This associate pastor position will be responsible for shepherding families with children and assisting the senior pastor in the ministry to the congregation. This will include, but not limited to:

 

1)      Teaching, modeling and discipling our children to serve God and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ.

 

2)      Planning and organizing the weekly children’s program of the church, in conjunction with the Children’s Committee, i.e.. Sunday morning, Wednesday night, etc

 

3)      Creating and planning events and activities for our children and families

 

4)      Planning and facilitating outreach events, such as: Trunk-or-Treat, Fun-Fest, Annual Kid’s Camp, Kid’s Day at Turtle Days, etc

 

5)      Personally reaching out to the families of our community through local activities, neighborhood events and evangelism.

 

6)      Encouraging the social life and interactions of the families with children of our church

 

7)      Recruiting, training, and overseeing volunteers, including applications, interviews and background checks for Nazarene Safe

 

8)      Communicating with and providing resources to inform and equip parents

 

9)      Attending church functions and activities

 

10)  Submitting weekly report to the senior pastor

 

The pastor to families with children will be an example to the congregation in Christian holiness and love, commitment, punctuality, organization, appearance, evangelism and devotion to God.  The pastor to families with children will report and answer to the senior pastor.
