Youth and Young Adult Pastor – (full-time)
Skyview Community Church of the Nazarene (SCCN) is a growing, vibrant, intergenerational, and multicultural congregation in Northwest Calgary. We are seeking a full-time Youth and Young Adults Pastor who has a clear sense of pastoral calling to disciple youth and young adults within the context of the local church. We are looking for an experienced, competent and relational leader who is skilled in Biblical teaching and shares our desire to help youth and young adults come to know Christ and to support them towards maturing as followers of Christ.
Eligible candidates will have a proven record of meaningful church involvement in youth and young adult ministry, administrative skills with the ability to lead and develop volunteers, and effective written and oral communication. If not credentialled (ordained or licensed ministers) with the Church of the Nazarene, the successful candidate will be required to align theologically with the Church of the Nazarene’s articles of faith. Educational requirements for this position include theological training at a bachelor’s degree level or higher from an accredited school, or acceptable equivalents.

Areas of ministry oversight will include:
1. Youth Ministry
a. Develop a vision for youth ministry that is congruent with the mission and values of our local church.
b. Recruit, mentor and lead a team of volunteers who will assist in executing the weekly programming needs for youth ministry.
c. Disciple and care for the youth of our church through investing time in prayer, counsel, support, and mentorship.
d. Develop an intentional strategy to partner with parents in the faith formation of their children.
2. Young Adult Ministry
a. Develop a vision for young adult ministry that is congruent with the mission and values of our local church.
b. Recruit, mentor and lead a team of volunteers who will assist in executing the monthly programming needs for young adult ministry.
c. Disciple and care for young adults within our church through investing time in prayer, counsel, support, and mentorship.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
