A desire to teach and mentor others with patience and accepting heart
Preferably two years’ experience in Local Church ministry or a related field
Preferably have an educational background in Christian Ministries, Biblical Studies, or a related field.
Purpose of Position:
Igniting a desire for a genuine relationship with Christ in our students.
Work with other staff and lay leadership in planning periodic events designed to reach and connect with people in the community.
To develop events, programs and gatherings to which students can bring friends who may be seeking a church family.
To meet the programmatic, developmental and spiritual need of our students.
Work creatively, think strategically, and move ministries forward
Practice team-based leadership and exhibit strong relational skills with staff and volunteers
Maintain familiarity with current Christian education and spiritual development curriculum.
Possess exceptional written and oral communication and organizational skills
Possess working knowledge of social media for communication with youth, parents, and families.
Keep website current and accurate
Able to create and manage a budget.
Responsible to the Senior Pastor.
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
Ensure completed background checks ever 6 months on all volunteers
Invest quarterly into your volunteers through care and training
Create and effectively manage the ministry’s budget.
Communicate consistently with volunteers as well as provide the tools they need for spiritual leadership.
Disciple students and train others to disciple students
Connect regularly to the homes so parents experience a clear sense of partnership in the discipleship of their children.
Connect with Students during lunch in their local schools.
Clearly communicate upcoming events to students, parents, and local schools
Encourage students to find their gifts and to participate in worship services on Sunday’s. As well to serving in service projects
Establishing and using feedback systems for regularly assessing program effectiveness.
Purchasing and maintaining the necessary levels of resources, materials and supplies for all programs.
Support denominational programming ideas that help Students experience Jesus.
Coordinate with the Children’s ministry pastor to equip and partner with parents by equipping them with resources to become actively and intentionally involved in the spiritual formation and discipleship of their families.
Create a safe environment for Students by clearly communicating with volunteers where they are to be and their roles for each service and event.
Communicate regularly with Parents about what the students are learning.
