SBFN is a church all about reaching people--young and old, rich and poor, degreed and GED'd, black and white and everything in between--with the hope of the Gospel. Our mission statement is simple and is based upon Jesus' model of ministry when here on earth: We Are Gathering, Preparing, and Sending Followers of Christ. We are a multi-staff church that averages about 175 in worship on Sundays. We have approximately 40 children and 20 teens during Children's Worship and Youth Group.
We are currently looking to hire a Worship Arts Pastor. The Worship Arts Pastor will be responsible for planning, rehearsing, and leading our worship gatherings and other special worship opportunities. This person will also oversee all of the technical aspects of our worship gatherings. The Worship Arts Pastor will also be encouraged to continue building and expanding the worship team that is already in place.
The ideal Worship Arts Pastor will have several years of experience in the above areas and will play either keyboard, guitar, or both. More than any of those things, we're looking for someone who is passionate about his or her walk with the Lord, loves others, wants to see them experience God's goodness through music and worship, and who is looking to be on a great staff. Nazarene denominational credentials are a bonus.
Additionally, if you are a person who has experience and a calling/desire to work with our youth, that will also be considered. We would love to see someone bring both of these callings together in a dynamic way. However, we are not looking exclusively for someone who can/desires to do both. We're just putting it out there in case.
If you feel at all like this might be something God is leading you into, please don't hesitate to write and begin the conversation. We've seen Him do some amazing things under similar circumstances in the past, and we believe He's going to do the same here.
Btw, our new website is currently under construction, so if you go there, you will get to experience our old one, but not the most recent iteration of it. We are also on Facebook under the church's name.
