We are searching for a Part-time worship pastor/leader. The duties would include organizing and leading the Sunday morning worship service. Overseeing a new media team that records the morning service. Organizing and leading a youth worship team for Wednesday night youth service and assisting in leading the youth service.
We have a full very talented Sunday morning Worship team but are needing a pastor/leader. We currently use two keyboard players, guitar player, bass player, a percussionist, one male singer and three female singers. We moved to modern worship songs in 2004 and there are no issues with music style in our church. Our congregation and musicians are very flexable with style and at home doing songs that are currently on the radio or a traditional hymn.
We recenty purchased a professional camera system and are now sharing our services on facebook live. You can check out one of our services and the style of music we have been doing by going to our facebook page at- Beebe Nazarene Church. We just began the recording process so there are still some sound mixing needs and adjustments needed in the placement of the camera.
Our youth service attendance averages around 30 but we have had seasons where we have averaged in the 50s. We currently have 6 adults assisting in the service but have others who are willing to help. The youth service praise team is made up of youth that are also playing in the Sunday morning worship service.
We are not a large church. We have a Sunday morning worship attendance average of around 110. However, we are a church that has sent out 15 familes into full time ministries over the last 10 years. Three of them have been our Worship pastors. Only two of the 15 had been in a pastoral role before joining our staff. We feel as a church that our call is to disciple, train and equip its people for ministry. Our current worship pastor has served us for three years. He had never been a staff person prior to joining us. He will be moving to a full time worship ministry position leading a congregation of over 600 people this month. Our people hate to see him go but we are celebrating because we are a part of his life and helped prepare him for full time ministry. We truy see this is our calling as a church. Its not about building our own little kingdom but this is our role as a great commission church.
We currently have four retired ministers in our church and two staff members. Both the senior pastor and the associate pastor are bivocational on purpose. Both of the staff feel that its their call to be in the world touching lifes which makes them better ministers. Our associate has been a part of our staff for 10 years and is an ordained minster. She works as a Jr. High school teacher. Our senior pastor has been a pastor for 30 years. He has been a worship pastor, youth pastor Childrens pastor and our senior pastor for 16 years. 8 years ago he felt led to become bi-vocational not for financial support but for ministry opportunity. He is a detective with the local police department.
Our church building is a new facility that was built less than 10 years ago. It seats 300 people.
For compensation we will provide a 1900 square feet parsonage that was built in the 90s that we will provide for free. We will also provide utilities. The home has 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms. It also has a nice size garage and a brand new large fenced in back yard. At this time we can not provide further salary but would love to be a place for you to get some experience and grow spiritually and professionally.
