Job Description: FCN is seeking a Full-Time Children’s Pastor to serve on our ministry team, overseeing all things children for ages birth thru 5th grade.
About our Church: FCN is a multi-generational church averaging nearly 500 in our weekly worship experience. We are a Presence-driven church, letting the Holy Spirit lead.

Personal Qualifications: Must be a Committed Christ-follower who feels a call by God into full-time ministry. Willing to pursue ministerial training and licensing through our denomination. Have a passion and Love for children and families, understanding the impact this ministry has on the Kingdom. A team player with the ability to build and lead volunteer teams and paid staff. Be creative and have the ability to implement the vision of a vibrant and impactful ministry.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Pastor to Children and their families
-- Develop intentional and healthy relationship with the children of FCN and the community
-- Provide care for children and families within the church including hospital visits and follow-up.
-- Recognizing kid’s birthday’s and special occasions; attending games and special events.
Oversee all programming and ministries for children ages birth – 5th grade.
-- Including Sunday mornings, Wednesday nights, summer programming, special events, etc.
-- Create environments, activities and programming for each age group that will facilitate learning and
encourage spiritual growth.
-- Choose and prepare curriculum for each program and each age level.
-- Plan and oversee special events such as VBS, Fall Festival, Baby Dedications, etc.
Recruit, train, schedule and lead teams of volunteers and staff.
-- Develop and build ministry teams for Sunday School, Children’s Church, Mid-Week (Wednesday
-- Supervise Nursery and Pre-School ministries to ensure program coordination. This includes paid
nursery staff and volunteers.
Understand and support the vision of FCN and develop and implement it into the Children’s ministry.
-- Maintain a strategy for reaching and assimilating new children and families.
-- Facilitate and organize Beach Club ministry at Overton Elementatry school. Working closely with
FCN missions director and the Overton principal and staff to maintain an effective partnership.
-- Maintain healthy relationship with parents. Utilizing effective communication tools, training
opportunities, and informational meetings.
