The minister of intergenerational discipleship is responsible to the lead pastor for providing staff leadership to the discipleship and spiritual formation ministries of New Beginnings church, as well as pastoral leadership to our local Nazarene Youth International (NYI) ministries (7th grade - Young Adults). This involves cooperating with church ministry leaders in planning, conducting, and evaluating a comprehensive intergenerational ministry of Christian discipleship and spiritual formation.
Candidates should meet the following minimal qualifications (ideally):
Member in good standing of the Church of the Nazarene
2-5 years of pastoral ministry experience (full or part-time)
District Licensed (or in the process of receiving a district license)
B.A. in Biblical Studies or Religion (or equivalent)
A clarifying comment:
If candidates are currently members of other denominations, a willingness to become a member of the Church of the Nazarene will be essential.
Each interested candidate should forward an updated resume, a philosophy of ministry, and three personal contacts for references to Pastor Josh Johnson at the email provided. One reference must be pastoral, and the other two must be non-familial. If a candidate has been licensed (either locally or by a district), contact information for the lead pastor of each congregation in which a license was recommended should be provided.
